To preserve your septic system’s functioning properly, it is important to recognize what microorganisms do in the tank and the manner in which to frequently add treatments to them. A properly running septic tank has an intensive kind of microorganism that can be critical for breaking down waste. However, many things can dissatisfy this balance, so useful microbes need to be delivered. For reliable and affordable septic solutions, check out our professional Septic Services today.

The Natural Process: Why Bacteria Are Key

A septic tank is like a little version of a wastewater treatment plant. The anaerobic bacteria in the septic tank (bakterie do septiku) that break down organic materials into sludge, scum, and effluent are what make it work. The solids sink to the bottom, where they produce sludge. The lighter materials, such as oils and grease, float to the top and form a scum layer. The cleared wastewater, or effluent, then goes into the drain field, where soil bacteria can treat it further. If there weren’t a lot of healthy and active bacteria, this process of breaking things down would stop, causing solid accumulation, blockages, bad smells, and eventually, system failure.

When Natural Bakterie Need a Boost

Septic tanks are made to keep bacteria alive on their own, yet many modern household behaviors might accidentally hurt these helpful microbes. There are several things that can lower the number of natural bacteria:

  • Harsh Chemicals: Throwing away bleach, disinfectants, harsh cleaning agents, and some laundry detergents down the drain can kill off good bacteria.
  • Medicines and antibiotics: Flushing unneeded medicines or antibiotics down the toilet can also hurt bacterial colonies.
  • Too Much Water Use: Putting too much water into the system too quickly might wipe away bacteria and change the way they live.
  • Things that don’t break down: Flushing things like wet wipes, feminine hygiene products, or too much food waste can overwhelm the bacteria and cause solids to build up.
  • Pumping infrequently: Pumping gets rid of solids that have built up, but it can also lower the number of bacteria for a short time if the system isn’t properly recovered afterward.

How Often to Use Bacteria Treatments

There isn’t a set amount of time that everyone should use bacterial treatments because it depends on how your family uses them. But there is a general rule that may be made:

Once a month for proactive maintenance: Most households should apply excellent bacteria treatment  products like bakterie do čov, which can be used  once a month as a proactive step. This helps keep the levels of bacteria in the septic system steady, especially if you use things that could hurt it on a frequent basis.

  • After Pumping: Adding a bacteria treatment right after your septic tank has been pumped is quite helpful. Pumping takes out a lot of the good bacteria along with the garbage, so adding more helps to quickly restore a healthy microbial community.
  • After Chemical Exposure: If you accidentally or on purpose employed strong cleaning chemicals that ran down the drain, a bacterial treatment soon after can help fix the damage and bring the bacterial balance back to normal.
  • Dealing with Smells or Slow Drains: A shock treatment of bakterie (like Sanbien) can occasionally help break down clogs and make the system work better, but it’s not a cure-all for serious problems. But if the problems keep happening, you should have an expert look at them.
  • When choosing a therapy, search for ones that have a wide range of live, active bacteria strains, like those in Sanbien. Stay away from goods that contain chemicals or enzymes that might work for a short time but could hurt the entire bacterial ecosystem.

To sum up, it is important for the long-term health and efficiency of the septic tank to keep a healthy population of bacteria in it. Using high-quality bacteria treatments regularly, especially once a month and after pumping, will greatly extend the life of your septic system, stop expensive repairs, and make sure it runs smoothly for many years to come. Sanbien and other products like it are very important for helping this important biological function.
