Mini Sunscreen: Mighty Sun Protection in a Small Package

You might have heard the phrase ‘bigger is better’ before, and while that’s true in some cases, there are plenty of times when it doesn’t apply. Take mineral sunscreen for example. It’s a product that’s good to have with you wherever you go and when you have a mineral-based mini sunscreen with you, you can protect yourself no matter where you are.

So, what do we mean by the term ‘mini’ sunscreen? Well, we’re referring to sunscreen sticks, which are small enough to slip into your pocket or bag, but powerful enough to keep you and your skin safe.

In this article, we explore what these products offer in more detail, so you can work out whether to purchase one for yourself.

What’s Inside Mineral-Based Mini Sunscreen?

‘Compact’ and ‘Easy to Use’ are just a couple of ways you can describe a mini sunscreen stick. They offer all the benefits of sunscreen lotions but in a mess-free, travel-friendly form. But what exactly makes this type of diminutive sun protection so handy? Let’s take a look, shall we?

Most people know that wearing sunscreen is a no-brainer. Without it, UVA and UVB rays from the sun can quickly burn and age your skin. However, carrying around a large bottle of sunscreen isn’t exactly practical. That’s where a compact sunscreen stick comes into its own.

Unlike more bulky bottles, a sunscreen stick is much better for:

  • Applying quick touch-ups throughout the day
  • Protecting sensitive areas like your face, ears, and tattoos
  • On-the-go sun protection when traveling or commuting
  • A lack of spills and no greasy hands

Sunscreen needs to be applied every two hours to remain effective and when it’s as accessible as this, there’s no reason to ever miss doing so. You might wonder why we’re suggesting you buy a mineral product rather than a chemical sunscreen – something we cover in the next section.

Mineral Sunscreen In A Stick Form Is a Winning Combination

There’s been a longstanding debate on which type of sunscreen offers the best protection, and as you’ll be able to tell from our article, we think that zinc oxide-based sun protection is the superior option. Why, you might ask. Here are just a few of the reasons…

  • Mineral products don’t harm marine wildlife, whereas chemical products are known to damage coral reefs, causing bleaching that makes them uninhabitable.
  • They work straight away after application (unlike chemical brands), meaning you don’t have to hang about indoors for 20-30 minutes waiting for it to absorb.
  • They’re super-gentle to sensitive skin, as well as being non-comedogenic. That makes them an excellent choice for anyone with delicate complexions and regular breakouts.

Mini Sunscreen Means You’ll Never Have to Miss Out on UV Protection

The beauty of small sunscreen sticks is that they make sun protection so accessible. No matter what you’re doing, so long as you have a pocket or bag, you can take it with you. Never again will you find yourself outside for longer than you expected and thinking to yourself “I wish I’d put some sun protection on!”. Every time you forget sunscreen, your skin suffers and with a stick at hand, that won’t happen.

So, there you have it. If you’re looking for a way to keep yourself UV-safe whether at work or play, you know just what to do!
