Culver’s is renowned for made-to-order fare. Burgers never see the freezer, fries are never frozen, and frozen custard is prepared fresh daily on site.

They produce them from scratch three or four times a day at each of their locations. They also have a “Flavor of the Day” at each of their locations, like Caramel Fudge Cookie Dough, Raspberry Cheesecake, or Butter Pecan.

It’s that simple. People actually go to Culver’s and look to see what the flavor of the day is on the board. It’s one of those types of restaurants that get called daily and people come back time and time again.

How Culver’s Started

Culver’s began as a tiny Wisconsan city some decades ago back in the year 1984. Craig Culver and his family launched the initial restaurant on one guarantee: serving the right way and proudly and lovingly.

It was not going so well initially, but all of them were writing home soon enough regarding how delicious their ButterBurgers and custard were. The restaurant became my favorite.

By the 1990s, franchising had begun at Culver’s and there were Midwestern restaurants. There are over 900 Culver’s restaurants in America now, and they all share the same hometown taste that started the restaurant chain.

Culver’s is special because it brings quality and niceness. It’s new wave, but to your specs. It’s fast, but not rushed.
