The information or data is the most crucial thing in the recent market scenarios especially in trading and other stock markets. Due to the various hindrances in executing the trading or stock processes, the knowledge and information regarding the data points play a pivotal role in understanding the ways and processes of stock market trading.

Thus, it is essential to educate traders and stock marketers regarding these data points and how these points can be useful and applicable to futures and options.

Overview of Futures and Options

One of the prime types of stock derivatives named Future and Options is the most important for the stock market. The futures and options are certain contracts signed by two parties or individuals who show interest in trading stock at a predetermined market rate. This helps in hedging the market risks and securing the shares and stocks for both the parties and traders.

The Futures and Options for a trading market are based on six data points which are quite powerful in enhancing the F&O processes. Here, the 6 powerful data points will be discussed briefly which are important for every trader.

  • Option Chain: The Option chain in a trading company is the list of contracts available with various options for several countries with various unique features. The list also provides all the information regarding calls and available contracts with certain maturity periods, expiring dates and strike prices. The Option Chain has two options one is call and the other is puts to buy and sell stocks.
  • Global Indices: The Global Indices guide traders and stock marketers in determining the overall strengths and weaknesses of the company and how these strengths and weaknesses are affecting the markets and individual companies. The global indices are used by investors to analyze the market by comparing the different stock investments. This is done by using the index that’s created by comparing the liquid and valuable stocks with the globally traded stocks.
  • Option Greeks: These are the risk management tools for the future company that assist the traders to ensure the correct place and time to execute the trade. The price fluctuations, interest changes and other trade-related matters that affect the trading contracts can be monitored through option greeks and this enhances opportunities for future option trading.
  • FII and DII Data: FII or Foreign Institutional Investors are investors who invest in another country with the assets of that particular country in the national stock markets. The DII or Domestic Institutional Investor are those who invest in the national capital markets including government and other private sectors. The DII and FII determine and monitor the daily cash flows from the following investors who have invested in trading companies or stock markets.
  • Open Interest Analysis: OI is the important data point for a trading and stock market company to understand the availability of contracts on discretion in delivery and settlement with the traders. This data point helps in enhancing the future options for the trading company by helping in understanding the availability of the contracts.
  • Heat Map: The following map determines and interprets the advantages and disadvantages for the traders to trade or invest in the market which can monitor high or low prices of the shares or stocks. The Heat Map consists of 3 parts:
  1. LBU: It shows a high rise in OI and prices for the longer positions of the investors and their anticipations.
  2. SBU: Short BuildUp determines the fall of the price and OI which depicts the participation of more people to determine the decrease in the price of the stocks.
  3. SC: This determines the price rise with the gradual fall in the OI, as this helps the traders or sellers to sell their bets due to an increase in the price rate.

Final Thoughts:

The following data points can be utilized properly to enhance the F&O processes in the stock and trading markets to reduce risks and hindrances of trade management. Other than that, it also secures investors and traders by continuing their trades tension-free. These data points describe the strategies to overcome and reduce the disadvantageous factors thus trading successfully.
